What types of temporary housing do you offer?

How do I make sure the home fits the needs of my family?

The only restriction we have for finding your family housing is to ensure that it is “like kind and quality” to what you come from – so no matter what, we will make sure that the house we choose fits the individual needs of your family, just as your own did.

Am I able to look for homes on my own? With my own realtor?

Yes, if you would like to you can search for homes on your own or with a realtor. We are also able to work with any realtor of your choice, so as long as you refer us we will use them.

How long does this process usually take?

Anywhere between a few days to two weeks.

Do the houses come furnished?

Most of the temporary homes do not come furnished, but don’t worry – we take care of that for you with our furniture rental partners.

What kind of rental furniture will I get?

You will get corporate quality rental furniture from premier vendors nationwide. We offer basic packages that will be hand delivered to your temporary home on the day that you move in.

Will the lease be under the policyholders name?

Yes, since the policyholder and their family will be living in the temporary home, the lease will be between them and the landlord.

Do I have to pay my own security deposit?

Yes, since you will be living in the home it is your responsibility to pay for the security deposit. If you need to, you are able to ask your insurance carrier for an advance on your contents portion of your policy and use that for the security deposit.

What happens if I need to extend the lease because renovations are taking longer than expected?

The lease can absolutely be extended, should more time be needed. The only requirement is to notify the landlord within the specified number on days on the lease.

Who do I call for maintenance help? Home Source or my Landlord?

Once we move you into the home, you can speak directly with your Landlord for maintenance issues. If there is ever any communication difficulties, we would be happy to assist you as well.

What if my family needs special accommodations?

We make sure to accommodate each and every one of your family members. Our job is to give you a home away from home as yours gets rebuilt and we will ensure that everyone’s individual needs are taken care of.
